CHICAGO MAN CHARGED WITH
Friday, March 22, 2013 — Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart announced today that a Chicago man has been charged with four felonies for disseminating and possessing child pornography – some which had images of children as young as one-year old.
Yesterday members of the Cook County Sheriff’s Police Child Exploitation Unit arrested Seamus Webb, 51, of the 1600 block of West Carmen Avenue in Chicago, without incident. He has been charged with aggravated child pornography – dissemination; aggravated child pornography – possession; child pornography – possession of pictures; child pornography possession of movies. All are class X felony charges.
Cook County Sheriff’s Police officers executed a search warrant for Webb’s apartment based on information they received from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Multiple computers and other items were taken from Webb’s residence. Officers also interviewed Webb at his residence, during which he admitted to possessing and disseminating child pornography.
Officers found 2,500 images and videos of child pornography on Webb’s computers, some of those images included bestiality and bondage that included minors.
Webb appeared in Bond Court this morning at the George N. Leighton Criminal Courts Building. His bond was set at $100,000 and cannot have contact with anyone under the age of 18, his next court date is scheduled for April 11, 2013.
